For my participation in Eulerity’s Weekly Talk series, I presented on Human Psychology in Data Perception using the UX technique “Progressive Disclosure”. This allowed me to showcase my thought process to a diverse team spanning different age groups and mindsets.
Progressive disclosure supports decision-making by revealing information gradually, so users aren’t overwhelmed by too many choices or details at once. This approach prioritizes essential information first, enabling users to make informed, confident decisions as they progress deeper into a task or interface.
In my presentation, I discuss the what, why, and how of using progressive disclosure as a guiding design principle in my decision-making process. I explain how this approach helps structure complex information & reduce cognitive load.
